Drugs shipped that I did not order.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered 2 prescription refills online and when I checked to see the status of my order, I noted that my third prescription was filled too, one that I had not ordered. I called Customer Service to ask why this was being sent to me when I didn't order it and was told that it was "ordered online." No it wasn't. I clearly remember ordering my other two prescriptions and not the third because I had plenty on hand of that one. They sent me a refill on the third medication when I didn't order it and charged my credit card $115. They can't wait until I need it and order it to ship it to me and charge me for it? When you call Customer Service you get the run around and they blame you for this kind of error so save your time and breath and don't even call them. I'm going to be looking for another mail order pharmacy to do business with because OptumRx is awful. Don't waste your time with them.

Horrible to deal with...worse than cage of monkeys out of control

When you call.... you talk to 5 people with 5 different answers to your question. Tons of lost paper work. Late Rx fills. Cancels orders for no reason. Rude. Calls wrong numbers to leave messages. Last week called to get fax number.... talked to 4 people... the last one answered every question except what I asked for. Asked him if he knew why I called and he said no... really. Horrible customer service. Always say," I sorry that happened" but no one ever is wrong except you. The log in insurance changes with wrong date and then expect you to absorb the cost. Horrible place

The WORSE company I have ever dealt with in my life

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been paying $25 every month for medication and just found out I only have to pay $25 every 3 months. They "lost" the prescription my doctor faxed to them, I get lied to EVERY time I call. It takes a month to receive my medication in the mail. I WISH I could use someone else but it's through my work and I don't really have a choice. It amazes me this place is still in business. I have to call them every month to deal with some issue for my prescription and I get told something different every time. It's like they just make something up to get me off the phone!

Inferior medications

I received a refill for the same medication I have been taking since April 2014. This refill is from another different manufacturer than the previous filled medication. After one hour of taking this medication, my ears are ringing. Same dosage as the previous medication. I read both bottles and saw yet again that they were from different manufacturers and different countries. I had a different medication from OPTUMRX that was very different from the name brand and had to switch to name brand only at a considerable cost. This is a habit of OPTUMRX I assume to go with the cheapest manufacturer which probably has more fillers. Medco never did this. This is just a horrible company. I now have to report this issue with the FDA. Do not deal with these people if you have a choice to chose pharmacies through your insurance. I now pay quite a bit for brand name only for my own safe health because OptumRx does not care what the give their customers.

Automated Phone System

I have no complaint about the prescription or customer service I have been receiving for the last 20 years. Very knowledgeable staff, and have always received my prescriptions as requested. It is the automated phone system. Not that i mind the process, but the recordings are constantly skipping, and it is not set up in a friendly manner/ You end up on the phone for 5 minutes just trying to get where you want to go and then waiting up to 10 minutes before you get someone. Listen, listen Linda try quality control by having someone test your system gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

OptumRX Fraud Policy: 80% Extended Release, & 20% Immediate Release for controlled Medications

OptumRX; whom is contracted with United Health Care, which has denied the filling of my medication. The Medication Brand-Dilaudid/Generic-Hydromorphone 8MG, 120 tablets is covered under my Medicare Part D plan. The medication Hydromorphone 8MG has been successfully covered by my Insurance provider, and successfully processed and filled by OptumRx on 05/16/2014, 06/09/2014, and 07/07/2014. On 08/08/2014 OptumRx Customer services representatives, and OptumRx Pharmacists that OptumRx Specialty Pharmacists is refusing to fill my medication due to: “Recommendations of OptumRx is that the patient should change therapy to 20% Immediately Release medication, and 80% Extended Release medication. If the prescriber fails to change therapy, OptumRx will not dispense the medication, and the patient will have the fill the medication at their local pharmacy”. Was told by OptumRx Customer Service, and Pharmacists this is a OptumRX policy, NOT a FDA, or DEA policy. This is a scam!!!!! I am 100% legally disabled. Do to my chronic pain, and etc. This should be some of discrimination against people with disabilities. Denying to fill a covered medication. This medication is SUPER hard to get in Florida. What are the disabled people to do when they need their medication?

I deal with Optumrx as a provider and as a patient. I cannot believe that it can take up to 16days to get a precert that a patient who is in pain , has to wait to get, is acceptable ?

As a patient, it took 20 minutes to find me in their system, despite me giving my dob exactly 5 times. Concerned for Optumrx....

..do they change their name when the going gets rough ?

The best Pain Relief possible is to avoid using their Mail Order, once I did that I no longer had a pain in the ***.

Prescription not filled multiple times

The first f-up by optum was when they became United Healthcare online pharmacy. My doctor submitted my prescriptions on a Friday and Optum took over on the following Monday. They transferred all information but the new prescriptions. Due to the type of med, I my Dr must submit new prescription every 3 months. I work at a secure location and am unable to contact Optum during regular business hours and they are unavailable during any other hours. I left a message for them the first time and never heard anything from them I explained that I could not speak on the phone and asked them to text, email me or call after regular hours. Not one word. After not getting my prescription and finally having a day off, I called them. It then had to set up a conference call with Optum and my doctor to prove, beyond doubt, that Optum didn't get the prescriptions previously sent in to Medco and that I would not be receiving double amounts of medication. I had my regular quarterly check in with the doctor and he sent in my prescriptions once again. i went online and called, as I had another day off, and requested Optum to hold off for one week on filling the prescriptions as I didn't have enough money available until payday, the following friday. They said they documented it and I should see no problems. They lied! They attempted to charge my credit card the next day and guess what, it was declined. I again, received no phone calls, emails, text messages....nothing. I then received a letter, the following week, from Optum stating they had made multiple attempts to contact me....LIE... and were unable so they had to send a letter. It was actually a bill for the amount that didn't clear the card previously. It stated that I had to submit payment via check or money order which I did immediately. Then, when the check cleared, so did the credit card charge for the same amount. I contact Optum and explained they were wrong and they stated nothing could be done. I then had the bank deny the charge so I didn't over pay. Now let's go to strike number 3. Again, 3 months later, I went to see my doctor and he sent in the prescriptions. I went online and confirmed all were in and saw they were attempting to state the cost for the one pill I desperately need was now approx. 1,500.00 and not covered due to needing additional authorization from the doctor. Apparently they needed the doctor to call in authorization for me to be prescribed this drug as I am not taking the standard dosage, I am taking a higher dose than most. They stated they contacted the doctor, which was again.....a LIE....so i proceeded to call the doctor's office asking them to authorize it and told them that Optum said the authorization will be good for one year. The doctor's office did and I still didn't get my prescriptions. I went online again and saw they showed no record of receiving the one prescription but showed all other prescriptions received. I know the doctor put this one on the same script as the others so.... another LIE! I called Optum and spoke to someone who....LIED...and said they never recieved the prescription. As I said before, I saw it on there records a couple of weeks prior which I completely forgot. I then proceeded to contact my doctor's office and left a rather abrupt message due to them being out to lunch....literally. I didn't receive a call back until the next Monday and the doctor asked me to come in and get samples and they will be sure to resubmit the prescription. Which I watched them do. I went online after a couple of days, to be sure to give Optum time, and they still didn't show receiving the prescriptions. I left a rather nasty message in their suggestion box as they

Optumrx is a big disappointment

i am 65 years old and I too have dropped optumrx after dealing with them and as it has been stated here I dealt with at least 10 reps....from aug 2014; i am newly with medicare and optumrx is one of the us healthcare pharmacies.....i have letters to atty generals of calif and ks, supposedly where optumrx is in business from....today i got a phone call from a shawna who wants me to call her back in regard to their screwups.....i will call her back BUT....i will advise that i want either an email or written letter to address her issues with me......when i asked optumrx to send me emails during the horrendous process they refused to do so...that sent a red flag up, as far as I am concerned, because when an entity won't put anything is writing they are suspect.....i now have gone to my local pharmacy, either walgreens or walmart or shoprite....if you all would like to, send letters to the atty generals of the states in which they operate....calif and kansas and the BBB, Better Business Bureau...

Optumrx - Prescription Review from Chicago, Illinois

Not a single script has been processed accurately by this company. I am now up to 18 different meds now, mainly because need multiples to do the same treatment a single pill used to do but wait, they don't cover that pill because too costly. When is it that 5 drugs to do the same that 1 does, is a cost savings? If they could at least get 1 script right, without me having to call and speak to a manager 4-5 times to find out what the hold up is, it would be a miracle. My blister packs have been crushed twice, the medications nothing more than powder. Manager said instructions were to "pack in bubble wrap" - well I showed them what that looked like - wafer thin paper was all they did. Manager pissed too but not much control over process either it seems. Phone reps fielding calls are the worst - no knowledge about anything. The lies they spew to cover their clueless *** are top notch - put them on Fallon.

I spoke tp a supervision and we agree for the warfarin to me at a cost of 31 plus change. That was over 10days ago.callevtoday and they could not find that order had been filled so never shipped. I'm terrible upset and you should know of this terrible service and re-educate nyour staff on the importance of clients getting their prescriptions on time.

Not taking responsibilty: Unwanted product shipped with my order

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
It probably started with a minor technical glitch in the ordering website. Related to pop-ups for auto refill and the system get hung up trying to find prices. Not perfect, but not extraordinary. The result was $170 being charged to my credit card. Not a good thing, but in theory correctable. The inexcusable part is their stone wall policy of saying "Oh, that's the way we received the order, so you're screwed". It is as if the website, THEIR website, was totally outside their span of responsibility. I'll spare you the details, but please take this advise. If you are thinking of using Optum Rx, run, don't walk.

Fraudulently charge my Credit card without Authorization

OptumRx claims that if a Doctor Electronically submits a prescription they are mandated by law to fill, send, and charge your credit card. I have been sent and charged for more than 1 prescription that I am not on, and did not request. I received a product recently and was informed that they could not refund me until they receive it back. I returned it and I am still waiting 2 weeks for a refund. It is ridiculous that they can charge my credit card 4 days before they actually mail it, but they can not refund my account until they receive it back. I have also stated during numerous of conversations: "Do NOT save my credit card info, and NEVER auto send / Bill for any medications/products. I will order when ready online if it is something that I need or want. But they continue to do so. Again because they state they are mandated by law to do so. Doctors are not flawless, they are human, and they Do Error.

Optumrx - Prescription Refill Review from Trinity, Florida

I have been dealing with optimum rX for a year now and it's excruciating every time. It takes at least two weeks turn around and that's with a minimum of 1-2 calls each time as well. No one there is on the same page. I have to pay for express (12)per perscription, to get my medication wwithin 10 days of them receiving the scripts. Lastly some of my meds are triple the cost of local non mail order pharmacy. I think it's just one big scam. If your able to go somewhere else, go. Goodluck.

I HATE OptumRX and will NEVER go Back!

OptumRx has screwed up every single order I have placed during the last year. Why I keep going back amazes me. I will never order through them again. I've had it. Everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong. I've tried to complain to United Healthcare and OptumRx management and never get anywhere. I tried to give them a second, third, forth- even fifth chance! I wish they would get their act together. After all of the hassle, phone calls and time wasted, I have never even saved money! They over charged me telling me that I owed a deductible when I do not! They are scamming customers. I should have stuck with my local walk-in pharmacy and saved myself all of the stress. They also pay the insurance claims for retail scripts in case you didn't know. United HC & OptumRx try to actually make money off of going through their mail service. My advice, Stay with your local pharmacy and save yourself the stress that is so not worth it!

AMEN! I have used them for ONE MONTH for my husband's prescriptions and in that short time they have double charged me twice, and shipped a prescription we told them not to send!

The customer service people are retarded imbeciles, and I've spoken to a least six of them. You can't reach any management people AT ALL.

The"savings" are totally negligible compared to the boundless aggravation. Am transferring back to my local pharmacy immediately before they send me anything else.
