The prior authorization team is horrible! I have been trying unsuccessfully to get approval for a medication I have successfully been on for years.

My doctor submitted the approval form and Optum denied it. The appeal is a long and lengthy process.

A patient shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get meds that they know they need and the doctor has been prescribing. They need to get their act straight before somebody gets seriously ill from their negligence!

I'm having the same problem. My doctor has exhausted the list of meds in the category I need and all have been denied.

What do I do?

Just because the company has changed providers there should be a system in place to carry our existing meds over. They were I'm back to square one and have no options according to the doctor.
