My husband had a change in employment, and as of January 1,2016 we had the misfortune of becoming insured with UHC and this horrible accompanying prescription company! We had our first issue within two weeks.

My husband has been on Nexium for many years as it is the only medicine of its type that works for him. He has tried so many others with no success. Well, first off we went to our pharmacy that we've gone to forever...nope, can't us that pharmacy anymore! Not allowed.

Next, after setting everything up with an "approved" pharmacy, he was told he couldn't take Nexium anymore... They told him to "Get a prescription for something else and if it doesn't work, or if your doctor writes a note saying you have to have the Nexium, THEN we will let you have it." Ok, done. Got the doctor to sent them to appropriate paperwork stating he needed the Nexium. Thay still denied it!

So basically nothing we do, no hoops to jump through will get him his Nexium!?!? He was using the generic, how much can that cost anyway? What is their deal? I can tell we are not going to like this "pick and choose" mentality.

This company is horrible. This is people's health they are messing with!

They couldn't care less. Sad excuse for customer service.
