My employer forces me to use OptumRx for prescription coverage.
I only deal with them if I absolutely have to.
I pay out of pocket for my test strips that go with my pump, because OptumRx will ONLY cover LifeScan products.
I've tried to have my doctors fill out the forms that OptumRx says they need, so they'll cover my necessary test strips. However, the last time they got the form, it was ignored.
I called to see how to fix it. The rep told me I could appeal it, but it probably wouldn't work.
Really? That's super helpful. You're not understanding the problem here. These test strips are for the meter that specifically communicates with my pump, so I don't screw up dosage calculations. Nah, that's not important, right?
This company doesn't give a crap. And the reps don't want to help.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
I didn't like: Only one choice, Being discouraged from filing an appeal.
