I had my insurance through United and every time I filled a medication at a local drugstore, I would get a letter stating that I should use their mail order to get 3 months at a time and get better prices. HA!

I was through the donut hole and my very expensive injections were now costing me $39.95 a month through Costco. (my total medication expenses for the year up to Oct. exceeded four thousand dollars!) So, I sent my prescription to OptumRX and got 3 months worth and they charged me $455.00 for 3 months. Let me do the math for you......Costco price rounded out to 40.00 would cost $120.00 for 3 months. Optum charged me $455.00!!!!!

$335.00 more than Costco and OptumRX would not explain this or adjust this price.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $335.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

I didn't like: Overpricing prescriptions, Complete lack of honesty, Half wits.
