I am shocked and disturbed to find out that I have been overcharged by multiples of dollars when I compared to GoodRx prices at local pharmacies. I saw a NBC Nightly News story that said that UHC Optum PrimeRx's pharmacy benefits manager pockets the difference.
My wife saw the same story on the Today show. I have a few scripts where one was three times as much and another was four times as much when compared to the GoodRx app.
Optum Rx actually says to transfer your scripts from your local pharmacy to their mail order in order to save money! Can you imagine how much money the pharmacy benefits manager makes from this?
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $2000.
Preferred solution: My UHC insurance should be the lowest cost for prescriptions instead of a discount card!.
I didn't like: Pricing.
