My wife is on the phone with OptumRX as we speak over a letter her 91 year old mother got from United Healthcare indicating in LARGE type that her mother's prescriptions were eligible for 0 copay. My wife has been on the phone with reps of Optumrx trying to get answers and so far no one knows anything, but so far it appears that there IS a copay, because her mother's meds don't meet tier 1 or 2 Medicare requirements.
This is all buried in the small print at the bottom of the page, which is right on the edge of false or misleading advertising.
For the record United Healthcare owns OptumRX, so this is just another moneymaker for them.Do not, under any circumstances do business with OptumRX or United Healthcare if you can help it.
